DURBUK, Aug 1,2026 — The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Durbuk led a comprehensive market and hotel inspection across villages near Pangong Lake on August 1, 2026.
Executed in collaboration with the TSO Durbuk and local police, the joint operation inspected commercial establishments to strictly enforce environmental and food safety regulations. During the inspection, fine were imposed on violation of Single-Use Plastics (SUP), Food Safety Violation and unsafe items were seized and destroyed.
SDM Durbuk reiterates its strict stance against the use of prohibited plastics and the sale of compromised food items. Inspections will continue regularly to ensure compliance, protect the fragile local ecosystem, and safeguard public health.
