EC Aga Syed Mujtaba Musavi Unfurls National Flag at Council Secretariat, Kargil.
Kargil, August 15, 2026: Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Aga Syed Mujtaba Musavi, today hoisted the National Flag at the Council Secretariat, Kargil, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. Officials and staff of LAHDC Kargil and council Secretariat attended the ceremony, which began with the hoisting of the Tricolour followed by a solemn rendition of the National Anthem.
In his address, Syed Mujtaba Musavi briefed the gathering on the historical evolution of India’s fundamental rights and duties, emphasizing the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the nation’s freedom fighters. He underlined the values of unity, peace, and development, urging citizens—particularly the youth—to actively contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Union Territory while upholding the ideals of independence and democracy.
Highlighting the collaborative efforts of the UT Administration and the Hill Council, syed Mushtaba Musawi spoke about progress in sports, education, health, and tourism, along with infrastructure initiatives such as improved connectivity, road development, and tourism promotion.
The event further recognized local achievements and contributions, fostering a spirit of community participation and national integration. Citizens expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to the ongoing developmental initiatives in the district.
