EC Tashi Appreciates VEC members for increasing roll in Govt School in Zanskar.
Zanskar, March 24, 2026: Hon’ble Executive Councilor RDD, Forest, Information and Zanskar Development Authority LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi visited various school in Zanskar today where enrollment has been increased with the initiative of ZEPO Zanskar, parents and VEC members.
EC Zanskar along with ZEO Tsewang Dorjay visited Govt. Primary School Khisharak and interacted with parents, VEC memy, staff and students to know firsthand information about the school.
The VEC welcomeed the Hon’ble EC to their school and placed various demands including new school building, sufficient staff and other digital equipment such as computer, PA system and other requirements.
The EC also visited Govt Middle school Pipiting and interacted with teachers, SMDC members, students and parents and appreciated their role in increasing school Enrolment. The VEC members requested some important Issues related to the school such as new school building and subject specific teachers.
EC Tashi assured the VEC members and parents of all the Govt school to provide all possible assistant from LAHDC Kargil and appreciated their intitiave in sending their children to Govt school located within their own villages.
Hon’ble EC also inspected newly constructed school building at BMS Padum which shall be handed over for functioning of BMS within 2 days. The Hon’ble EC directed Executive Engineer R&B to clean the dabris from the school premises of BMS and handover the same properly to ZEO Zanskar.
