EC Tashi chairs review meeting regarding pending dues of Ladakh-Zanskar Festival 2022 Directs concerned officials to credit pending dues within two days

Kargil, Dec 19, 2022: Executive Councilor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, LAHDC, Kargil Er. Punchok Tashi today chaired a review meeting at Council Secretariat, Kargil regarding the pending dues of the Ladakh-Zanskar Festival 2022, held in Zanskar earlier this year.
The meeting was attended by officials of Ladakh Academy of Art Culture and Languages (LAACL) Kargil and Tourism Department Kargil.
Tashi took a detailed assessment of the expenditure that occurred during the festival. The event was then organized by LAACL Kargil, Tourism Department Kargil in collaboration with LAHDC, Kargil in September this year.
The EC was informed by the concerned departments that 50 percent of dues to the engaged artists, hoteliers, bloggers, media persons, transporters etc. have been credited to them.
EC Tashi directed the concerned officials to credit the pending dues to the participants within two days. He also directed LAACL Kargil to deal with the expenditure for artists and other cultural-related activities. The EC directed the Tourism Department to pay the pending dues to hoteliers, bloggers, media persons, transporters etc.
