EC Tashi inaugurates Community Hall of Muslim community, BDC Office at Padum Zanskar.

Kargil, July 20, 2023: Executive Councilor, Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affair, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi on Wednesday inaugurated Community Hall at old Masjid for Muslim community of Padum town and BDC Office.
While addressing the occasion, the EC congratulated the Muslim community for the completion of the hall. He informed that an additional fund of Rs 1 lakh has been already approved for furniture of the hall.
EC Tashi also stressed to maintain the hall as their own property. He also appreciated the concerned contractor for completion of the work on time.
The women of the community requested EC to provide additional funds for separate rooms at 1st floor for women and also separate washroom for them in the hall.
The Muslim community expressed gratitude to EC Tashi for funds for such useful multi-purpose Community Hall.
On the inauguration of the Chairman Block Development Council Office at Padum, the EC congratulated the BDC and all the PRI members of Padum Constituency and instructed them to utilize the office building for welfare and development of the constituency.
He appreciated the coordination between BDC and PRI members and the developmental works done by them. The EC also appreciated the works done by Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department officials and also directed them to keep the same zeal in development of Zanskar valley in the future.
BDC Zanskar Block Stanzin Sandup, BDO Zanskar Tsewang Rigzen, Sarpanches, Panches, AEE and Officials of RD&PRD were present during the inauguration function.
