EC Tashi reviews remolding of Hydro-Power Project.

Kargil, July 18, 2023:
Executive Councilor, Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affair, LAHDC, Kargil, Er. Phunchok Tashi accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay on Monday reviewed the remoulding of the Hydro-Power Project of 2×500 Kv at Haftal.
The Joyti Company deployed their technicians to repair the 1980’s generators of Haftal Project to replace with new parts needed in the old regenerators, i.e, LT, OPU, Economixer, BFV, Bearing Pad etc. replaced.
The replacement of the parts of the engines carried out by Joyti company as tendered by the PDD at a cost of Rs 5 cr. The concerned JE of the project ensured the EC that they are working hard and trying to resume the power supply in the sub-Division within a week.
EC Tashi strictly instructed the JE and other employees to ensure to provide the power supply for the general public as per the past practice.
