EC Tashi visits flood-affected areas of Choskore village

KARGIL, JULY 26, 2022:
Executive Councilor for Zanskar Affairs and Tourism, LAHDC, Kargil Er Phunsuk Tashi today visited Choskore village to inspect the damage caused by the recent flash flood.
The EC was accompanied by Councillor Choskore, Nasir Hussain Munshi, Executive Engineer R&B Mohd Sadiq, Executive Engineer I&FC Issa Ali, Executive Engineer REW Shabbir Hussain, Executive Engineer Mechanical Mohd Hassan, BDO, Tehsildar, PRI members and representatives of agriculture, forest, PHE, PDD and other concerned departments.
The Executive Councilor visited and inspected all flood-affected hamlets viz Lobar, Gonkha, Tsaparing, Rango and head work of Grong. It was found that the flood has damaged crops, meadow, grazing land, trees and irrigation canals.
EC Tashi instructed the concerned officials to immediately restore essential services like irrigation kul, drinking water, road connectivity and other essential services.
He further assured nala trailing to mitigate future damages in case of flood. While assuring all type of support from the administration, he instructed people to remain alert and take action locally also.
He assured that the assessment teams of different departments will visit the village soon to assess the damage and loss caused by the flood.
