Administrative control of the Hostels given to Education Department Kargil
Kargil, 21 Nov 2023: To implement the decision taken in the previous meeting held under the chairmanship of Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargi, Zakir Hussain, Executive Councillor School & Higher Education LAHDC Kargil inspected Girls & Boys Hostel Jammu.
Chief Education Officer Kargil and Executive Engineer R&B Kargil accompanied the Executive Councillor.
At girls hostel, EC Zakir Hussain gave a patient hearing to the demands and on the spot announced to provide two Invertors 5 kw, two Water Purifiers, two Sanitary Machines and two Washing Machines.
The EC Education directed the Exen to avail and install the items within a week.
During the visit to the Boys Hostel, the EC assured students that their genuine demands will be taken up before the CEC & Dy. Commissioner Kargil for early redressal.
Meanwhile during the tour the Administrative Control of both the hostels were handed over to the Education Department Kargil.
Further directions were forwarded that the minor repairment and other allied works will be done by PWD Kargil only after requisition made by Chief Education Officer Kargil.
