    EC Zakir inspects winter residential coaching classes at Drass

    Kargil, Jan 17: Executive Councillor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain today inspected the functioning of winter residential coaching classes at various schools of Drass Sub Division.
    The EC was accompanied by Councillor Bhimbat Abdul Wahid, Councilor Ranbipora Abdul Samad, Chief Education Officer Kargil, Musthaq Ahmed besides other concerned officers.
    At Govt. High School Thasgam, the EC directed the principal to shift the students of Thasgam High School to KGBV Bhimbat. He also inspected the facilities available in KGBV saying the school is well equipped with all facilities and winter residential coaching can easily start in the building. He directed Councilor Bhimbat to provide basic facilities like drinking water etc.
    At Higher Secondary Bhimbat and Drass, the EC urged students to choose residential coaching. The government offers comprehensive facilities, covering boarding and lodging, along with essential amenities such as drinking water, heating, and separate accommodations for both girls and boys.
    The EC emphasized that residential coaching would enable students to concentrate on their studies, benefiting from continuous teacher supervision and a focused study environment.
    He also noted that it would be the first time for Kargil students to undergo CBSE examinations, presenting them with a completely new and unique experience.
    The EC inspected the residential coaching building for Mushkoo High School students. Satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities, the EC instructed the headmaster to arrange the relocation of students to the new facility.
    Additionally, he also visited the old building of the Tourist Bungalow in Drass and found it well-furnished and equipped to accommodate residential coaching classes.
    The EC instructed Councillor Ranbirpora and Principal Drass to arrange accommodation for the remaining students in the old building of Dag Bungalow.
