Education Department Hosts Farewell cum Welcome for Directors in Kargil.
Kargil, April 04, 2026: The Education Department Kargil today organized a farewell-cum-welcome function at the Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Kargil in honour of Ms. Tashi Dolma, JKAS, outgoing Director of School Education, Ladakh, and Mr. Imteeaz Kacho, JKAS, the newly appointed Director.
The event was jointly organized by Principals, Zonal Education Officers, Headmasters, and the Chief Education Officer’s Office.
On the occasion, the Chief Education Officer (CEO),Shri Sonam Wangchuk extended a warm welcome to both dignitaries and expressed appreciation for their presence.
In her address, Ms. Tashi Dolma thanked the education fraternity of Kargil for their dedication and teamwork, and extended her best wishes to Mr. Imteeaz Kacho. The incoming Director expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assured continued efforts to further strengthen the education system.
Both dignitaries appreciated the role of stakeholders, especially Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), for their effective financial management and reiterated their commitment to collaborative efforts for improving quality and inclusive education.
The programme concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the department’s commitment to achieving new milestones in education.
