Ensure strict enforcement of Covid-19 SOPS, MV Act in district: DC Leh

Leh, July 15: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse, impressed upon the district officials to ensure the strict enforcement of the Covid-19 SOPs and MV Act in the district and initiate stringent legal actions against the violators.
He also directed the district officials to inspect the passenger vehicles regularly with a focus on the observance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
DC Leh and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Leh, inspected the Leh market and adjoining areas to check that Covid-19 SOPs are strictly adhered to. Similarly, an inspection drive against Covid-19 SOP and traffic rules violations was held at various places, including Chumathang, Mahe, Tsomoriri and Nubra. The inspection teams also collected fines from those found violating Covid-19 SOPs and traffic rules.
