Executive Councillor, Kacho Mohd Feroz Felicitates State Teacher Awardees 2024 from Kargil District.

Kargil, June 11, 2025 – Executive Councillor (EC) for I&FC, PHE, Tourism, KDA/ZDA/UD, Revenue, CAID, and Fisheries, LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz, felicitated the recipients of the prestigious State Teacher Award 2024, conferred by the Union Territory of Ladakh. The facilitation held at Council Secretariat.
Addressing the gathering, EC Kacho Mohd Feroz commended the awardees for their commitment and significant contributions to the teaching profession. He remarked that although the role of teachers is often overlooked in society, their service remains fundamental to shaping the future.
He emphasized that the true impact of a teacher’s efforts may not be immediately visible, but it carries lifelong value and transformation for generations to come. He further encouraged teachers not to be disheartened if appreciation is delayed, noting that recognition in the field of education often comes after years of silent dedication and perseverance.
Reaffirming the commitment of LAHDC Kargil to strengthening the education sector, he stated that the Council will continue to support and stand beside its teachers, who serve as the cornerstone of a progressive society. He added that the purpose of such gatherings is to acknowledge the pivotal role educators play in nurturing and guiding the younger generation and to inspire them to continue their mission with even greater passion.
On this occasion, Mohd Abdullah, a dedicated teacher from Government Middle School Karith; Khadim Hussain, Lecturer at Government Higher Secondary School Pashkum; and Mehboob Ali, Lecturer at Government Higher Secondary School Trespone, were felicitated for their exemplary service and were conferred with the State Teacher Award 2024.
Executive Councillor, Er. Punchok Tashi, who was also present at the event, extended congratulations to the awardees. He noted that behind every innovation and achievement lies the influence of a teacher, and educators must treat every student with the same care and dedication as they would their own children. He also emphasized the need to make the best use of the opportunities and platforms available today to uplift the standard of education in the region.
Councillor Ghulam Haider of the Lankerchey constituency also joined in appreciating the efforts of the teachers and expressed his happiness at their well-deserved recognition.
As a token of appreciation, EC Kacho Mohd Feroz presented certificates and mementos to the awardees. The honored teachers shared their personal experiences, challenges, and aspirations, adding a heartfelt touch to the occasion.
