Five-Day Inclusive Education Training for CWSN Begins at GHSS Padum.
Padum, June 03, 2026: A five-day training programme on Inclusive Education for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) under the Aspirational Block Programme, Karsha Block, commenced today at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Padum.
Deputy Commissioner Zanskar, Shri Omkar Rajinder Gundage, IAS, attended the inaugural function as the Chief Guest, while Superintendent of Police Zanskar, Shri Regzin Sandup, JKPS, was the Guest of Honour. Tehsildar Zanskar, Shri Mohd Hassan, attended the programme as Special Guest.
Zonal Education Officer Zanskar, Smt Tsewang Yangdol, delivered the welcome address and expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Zanskar for his continuous support and cooperation towards the education sector and successful conduct of such programmes in the district.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of inclusive education and emphasized the need to ensure equal educational opportunities for Children With Special Needs (CWSN). He assured the teaching fraternity of full administrative support and stated that the district administration would always stand with teachers facing any challenges in the field of education.
Speaking on the occasion, the Superintendent of Police Zanskar stressed the importance of strong coordination between teachers and students. He also raised concern over the increasing issue of drug abuse among youth and discussed ways to overcome the growing menace through awareness, counselling, and collective responsibility.
During the training session, trainers from District Kargil presented various Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs) and delivered presentations on inclusive teaching methodologies and classroom practices aimed at supporting Children With Special Needs.
The programme witnessed participation from teachers of various institutions across Karsha Block.
