Five-Day Training Programme for Elementary Teachers Commences at DIET, Leh.
Leh, 20th of July 2026 – The District Institute of Education & Trainings, Leh (DIET), in collaboration with knowledge partners Ritanjali and Pallavan Learning Systems, today inaugurated a five-day intensive training programme for Elementary class (3rd to 5th) teachers of Mathematics and Environmental Studies (EVS) at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh.
The programme aims to equip teachers with innovative pedagogical techniques and strategies to induce conceptual clarity among students, fully aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. With a focus on experiential and activity-based learning, the training is designed to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills, and to enhance the teaching-learning process in EVS through hands-on, child-centred approaches.
As knowledge partners, Ritanjali and Pallavan Learning Systems bring extensive expertise in teacher empowerment, curriculum innovation, and inclusive education. The resource persons are conducting sessions on:
· Innovative Pedagogies for Mathematics: Focusing on play-based and experiential strategies to build foundational numeracy.
· EVS Teaching Methodologies: Emphasising exploratory learning, connecting classroom knowledge with real-life applications.
The training is being attended by Elementary teachers from various schools across the Leh district. The sessions include interactive workshops, hands-on activities, and collaborative discussions to ensure that teachers can translate their learning into impactful classroom practices.
The five-day programme will conclude with a valedictory session, where participating teachers will share their experiences and action plans for implementing innovative teaching techniques in their respective schools.
