Nubra, August 13, 2026: A full dress rehearsal for the 80th Independence Day celebrations was held today at the DC Office, Diskit, Nubra.Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Sh. Tashi Jorgais, led the event by hoisting the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. The rehearsal witnessed enthusiastic participation from male and female contingents of the Ladakh Police, ex-servicemen from Nubra, and students from various schools. The participants showcased performances prepared for the main day, including a parade, patriotic songs, dance performances, and speeches highlighting the significance of India’s Independence.Officers and officials from various government departments of Nubra were also in attendance, adding to the atmosphere of unity and patriotic fervour.The rehearsal served as the final practice to ensure the smooth and dignified conduct of the Independence Day celebrations.
