    GDC Drass holds seminar on important species

    Kargil, August 30, 2022: Government Degree College Drass today held a seminar on important species of the world under the supervision of Dr Amjad Ali Abassi Principal GDC, Drass and Dr Azram Tahoor Assistant Professor Environmental Science.
    Dr Amjad Ali Abassi presented welcome address. Dr A. J. T. Johnsingh (former Dean and Scientist, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and honorary associate to NCF, WWF, and MoEF) was the chief guest.
    He was the first person to study wild dogs in Bandipur National park. During the seminar, Dr Johnsingh demonstrated valuable information related to the extinct as well as endangered species around the world.
    A question and answer session was also held for student to clear their queries related to wildlife conservation. Principal Higher Secondary Drass congratulated the guest speaker for his wonderful speech.
    Later, Dr Azram Tahoor presented vote of thanks to the guest speakers, faculties and students of GDC Drass and Higher Secondary Drass.
