GDC Khaltse celebrates “Har GharTiranga” Campaign.
Khaltse, August 14, 2024: Govt. Degree College Khaltse today celebrated the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign at the college campus. The campaign commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the principal of the college at the college campus yesterday morning.
Today’s event commenced with an address by Professor Stanzin Yangdol, Principal of the college, highlighting the significance of the occasion. She emphasized to the students the importance of understanding India’s history and the sacrifices made by our forebears in their struggle against colonial oppression and injustice to secure India’s freedom.
Later, to raise awareness about the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga program among the public, a rally was organized, starting from the college campus and proceeding through Khaltse village. The event saw enthusiastic participation from both students and college staff.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports. Earlier, Director Psychical Education, Sonam Chosphail distributed national flags among the students and staff.
After the rally, a pledge was also taken by the students as well as the staff of the college on the theme “Drug-Free India Campaign”.
