The programme was held under the supervision of Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi, Principal, GMDC Zanskar. In his welcome address, Principal Dr. Abassi extended a warm welcome to the guest speaker, Inspector Mohd Baqir from DRFK UT Ladakh, along with faculty members and students of the college. He emphasized the importance of having trained civil volunteers available across different regions to assist during disasters and emergencies, highlighting their vital role in community resilience and disaster management.
In his lecture, Inspector Mohd Baqir briefed the audience about the significance of civil defence volunteers and their contribution during emergencies and disaster situations.
