Head of Police UT Ladakh launches “Road Safety Awareness song, chairs Darbar and lauds Traffic Police officials for their performance.
Leh, September 25, 2024: The Additional Director General of Police, UT Ladakh, Dr. SD Singh Jamwal (IPS) chaired a darbar on September 24, at Traffic Police Office Leh, to interact and listen to the grievances of the officers and officials of Traffic Police Ladakh. While speaking on the occasion the ADGP lauded the role of the officials of Traffic Police in performance of their day-to-day duties with utmost commitment in varied conditions of hot summers as well as extreme winters. He added that Traffic Police is the visible face of Ladakh Police which has maximum interaction with the citizens on daily basis. Dr. Jamwal reiterated that besides traffic regulations and issuing challan to the offenders, Traffic Police officials shall be the first on road to help and assist those in need and help. He also assured the traffic officials that their issues and grievances will be addressed on priority.
During the occasion, the ADGP Ladakh also launched the Road Safety Awareness Song /Video which has been produced under his supervision with the theme of “I Drive Safe”, “Meri Safety , Mere Haath Mai”. He appreciated Superintendent of Police Traffic Ladakh Kacho Ishtyaq AA Khan (JKPS) for composing the lyrics and song. He also appreciated Motup Chospa for his cinematography skills, editing and direction of the video.
The event was attended by Sh. Altaf Ahmed Shah (IPS), Sh.Stanzin Nurbu (JKPS) AIG Pers, Sh.Deepak Digra (JKPS) SP Security, Sh.Farhan Jahanzeb Naqash (JKPS) Staff Officer to the ADGP along with other officers and officials of Traffic Police.
SP Traffic Ladakh briefed the guest on the importance of making such songs, which is to make people aware about driving safety.
Further, ADGP presented a memento to Motup Chospa for his work and also distributed appreciation letters to the officers and officials who have performed exceptionally well at their duties.
