    Hon’ble Lt Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) distributes energy-efficient Induction Cookstoves to Anganwadi centres of UT Ladakh.

    Leh, Dec 30, 2023: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), distributed Induction Cookstoves to the Anganwadi Centres of the Union Territory of Ladakh in a function held at Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra. The induction cookstoves are being distributed through Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) in collaboration with Ministry of Power, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh and Ladakh Power Development Department.
    The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) congratulated and expressed gratitude to EESL for taking the initiative of distributing 2000 induction cookstoves to Anganwadi workers in Ladakh under the National Efficient Cooking Programme. He expressed joy on seeing the distribution of induction cookstoves under National Efficient Cooking Program (NEPC) being kickstarted from Ladakh under the guidance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, New & Renewable Energy, Shri Raj Kumar Singh.
    Stating that the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has been working hard to fulfil the ambitions of the people, the HLG shared that the distribution of 2000 induction cookstoves to Anganwadi centres by EESL is a noble work as each family, especially the mothers would get induction cookstoves for cooking food. He expressed hope that the induction cookstoves would prove beneficial to the Anganwadi Centres and appreciated the National Efficient Cooking Programme and the LiFE programme initiated by Hon’ble PM.
    Chief Executive Officer, EESL, Shri Vishal Kapoor, informed that about 2000 Induction Cookstoves would be distributed among the Anganwadi Centres in UT Ladakh. He said that Induction Cookstoves are energy-efficient and help reduce indoor air pollution by providing a healthy alternative solution to cooking. He further informed that the distribution of Induction cookstoves would contribute to the visionary initiative of carbon- neutral Ladakh as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
