Hon’ble Lt Governor Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) attends inaugural session of 12th edition of Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards.
Leh, Nov 24, 2023: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) attended the inaugural and opening plenary session titled Digital Governance 2.0: Navigating the Future of Government Transformation during the 12th edition of Digital Transformation Conclave & Awards: Exploring the latest trends, challenges and success stories organised by Yotta Data Services in association with the Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh.
The conclave was held to foster knowledge exchange, collaboration and innovation to drive digital transformation in the government sector. Government officials, thought leaders, industry experts and key stakeholders from across the country took part in the Conclave to discuss and explore the transformative potential of digital technologies.
Expressing his pleasure over holding the Digital Transformation Conclave and Awards in Ladakh by the organisers, the HLG commended the extensive and wide participation of stakeholders from different parts of India. Stating that Digital Technology is the way forward, he emphasised the importance of progressing in this area or else there is a danger of being left behind. He also stated that a lot of work has been done in Ladakh in the field of digital technology but a lot still needs to be done in this area. Such conclave will certainly help in knowing those undone work or required work that needs to be done in Ladakh, he further stated.
The HLG stated that if the sovereignty in Information Technology is yet to be achieved by us and emphasised the need to achieve it the earliest. He also stated that we cannot defend the nation if Information Technology is not sovereign as today’s warfare is based on artificial intelligence and information technology. He highlighted the importance of all stakeholders and participants taking part in the Conclave to work in this regard.
Highlighting the keenness of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, to make India the best in the field of digital transformation and information technology, the HLG asked all the concerned stakeholders and participants taking part in the Conclave for their best contribution to ensure that the outcome of the Conclave is positive and progressive. He stated that being good and responsible citizens of India, the experts and participants must ensure that we are ahead of other countries in the field of digital/information technology.
Co-Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Yotta Data Services, Shri Sunil Gupta, in his keynote address, informed about Shakti Cloud- India’s first indigenous AI-HPC Cloud and Yntraa Cloud- India’s own indigenous hyperscale cloud platform, to be introduced in 2024.
Co-Founder and Director, ilouge Media Private Limited, gave the introductory address while Secretary, IT, UT Ladakh, Sri Amit Sharma, in his welcome address, informed about various steps being taken by the Administration to make Ladakh digitally-equipped and the implementation of technology-driven tools in all sectors in the region.
