The Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, today visited Hemya Village under the ongoing Viksit Bharat Vibrant Village Program, an initiative aimed at empowering border villages through youth engagement, community participation, and cultural exchange.
During her visit, the Hon’ble Minister interacted with the participants of MY Bharat Ladakh, who are currently undertaking a cultural and educational tour of the border villages of Changthang. The participants shared their experiences and learnings from their interactions with local communities, highlighting the rich cultural heritage, unique way of life, and developmental aspirations of the people residing in these remote border areas.
The program was attended by Shri Tashi Namgyal, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Leh Frontier, Shri Nitish Rajora, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, UT Ladakh, Shri Zaheer Abbas Jafri (JKPS), Senior Superintendent of Police, Changthang, and Ms. Tajamul Ara, State Director, MY Bharat, UT Ladakh, along with officers of MY Bharat, ITBP, district administration, and other dignitaries.
The visit provided an invaluable opportunity for the participants to engage directly with policymakers and senior officials, further inspiring them to become active contributors to the nation’s progress and development.
