Horticulture Dept organises farmers awareness prog in Saboo village

Leh, July 25: The Horticulture Department, Leh, today organised a one-day farmers’ awareness programme on ‘Schemes of the Department’ in Saboo village as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Councillor, Phyang constituency, Tundup Nurboo, was the chief guest for the event.

Horticultural Development Officer, Leh, Kunzang Wangmo, gave a detailed presentation on the schemes implemented by the department for the welfare of the farming community. She urged the farmers to avail of these schemes for their benefit.

A total of 60 farmers, Nambardar and Panch participated in the awareness programme. There was also an interactive session with the farmers at the end of the programme.
