    Inaugural Session of Hindi Training Programme Launched at DIET Leh Leh, 17 February 2026: The Hindi Training Programme was formally inaugurated today at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh under the academic guidance of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra (Delhi Kendra), marking a significant step towards strengthening Hindi language pedagogy in the region. The inaugural session commenced with a gracious welcome address by the Principal, DIET Leh, Mr. Mirza Mehdi, who extended heartfelt greetings to the distinguished resource persons and honoured them with traditional ceremonial scarves (Khataks) as a symbol of respect and Ladakhi hospitality. The eminent scholars present on the occasion included Prof. Dhanji Prasad of Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Delhi Kendra), Dr. Tsering Chorol, Assistant Professor at EJM College Leh, and Dr. Tsering Dolkar, Lecturer at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Leh. In his inspiring address, the Principal emphasized the transformative potential of the training programme and encouraged all participants to actively engage in the sessions. He urged them to internalize the strategies and methodologies shared by the resource persons and effectively replicate these best practices in their respective schools, thereby enhancing the quality of Hindi teaching across the district. The inaugural ceremony was further enriched by the presence and support of DIET Leh faculty and coordinators, including Ms. Tsering Yangdol (HOD & Training Nodal Officer), Ms. Sonam Lamo (HOD & Overall In-charge of Training), Ms. Tsering Angmo (Lecturer & Coordinator), Mr. Tsewang Dorjey (Lecturer & Technical Coordinator), and Ms. Tsering Angmo (Lab Assistant & Coordinator), who collectively ensured the seamless organization of the programme. Around 70 participants enthusiastically attended the first day of training. The session began with a formal registration process, followed by a pre-evaluation assessment of participants’ subject knowledge conducted through Google Forms circulated via a dedicated WhatsApp group created for the programme. Participants also shared their reflections, expectations, and insights through structured online feedback forms. The day concluded on an interactive and engaging note with an introduction session between the participants and the resource persons, fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual learning. The Hindi Training Programme is set to continue over the coming days, focusing on pedagogical enrichment, language proficiency, and innovative classroom practices, with the broader objective of empowering teachers and strengthening Hindi education throughout the region.
