Inauguration of “Enterprising Ladakh” Office by Vice Chancellor and DG, EDII.
Leh, August 8, 2025: The University of Ladakh marked a significant milestone today with the inauguration of the Enterprising Ladakh office at its Leh campus. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University of Ladakh, and Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad and Dr Amit Kumar Dwivedi, Director of the Department of the Government Projects, EDII.
Also present on the occasion were Mr. Nawang Tundup, Registrar of the University of Ladakh, along with other distinguished faculty members and dignitaries from the University.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Kushwaha commended the Enterprising Ladakh team for their enthusiastic and impactful work across the Union Territory, especially in Leh and Kargil. He emphasized the importance of fostering entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for the youth of Ladakh.
Dr. Shukla appreciated the collaboration between EDII and the University of Ladakh, reaffirming the commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods in the region.
The Enterprising Ladakh initiative, supported by Union Territory of Ladakh Implemented by EDII, aims to empower local youth and communities by promoting innovation, business incubation, and capacity building tailored to Ladakh’s unique socio-economic landscape.
