    Intensified TB Screening Camp Held at BRO Camp Sakti, Leh.
    Leh, 26 July 2025: An Intensified TB Screening Camp was conducted at BRO Camp Sakti by the Health Department, UT Ladakh, in collaboration with Border Roads Organisation (Project Himank), organized by 846 AMIR and 51 RCC. The camp focused on early detection of TB among migrant workers and BRO personnel.
    Brigadier N.S. Ajai Chandra, VSM, DDG (Medical), emphasized that TB is curable and stressed the importance of early screening. Senior BRO officials including Lt. Colonel Prince Arvind DADMS, EE Aviral Jain OC 51 RCC and Captain Praveen extended their full support.
    The Health Department team, led by Mission Director NHM Shri Tushar Anand (IAS), conducted free screening through X-ray, skin test, and molecular diagnostics. Awareness was raised on symptoms and preventive care.
    Director Health Department Dr Tashi Thinlas emphasized that TB is a serious public health issue and highlighted the importance of early detection under the national goal of TB elimination. He stated that this intensified campaign focuses on identifying cases early through X-rays, skin tests, and molecular diagnostics, which allow for accurate detection and timely treatment. Special attention is being given to migrant populations and high-risk groups. He also appreciated the support of the Army and the people of Ladakh, and extended gratitude to BRO for their active cooperation in making this initiative possible.
