Joint Director Sports UT Ladakh felicitates Rinchen Youdol for outstanding achievement.
Kargil, Dec 03, 2024: Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports, UT Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi, honored International Para Taekwondo player Rinchen Youdol for her exceptional performance at the 1st World Para Poomsae Taekwondo Championship held in Bahrain from November 5 to 7, 2024.
During a special felicitation ceremony, at his office at LAHDC Secretariat, Zubdavi presented Rinchen with traditional Khataks and a commemorative memento, applauding her perseverance and dedication that earned her a historic Bronze Medal. He assured continued support from the department for Rinchen’s future endeavors, including her preparations for the upcoming Asian Championship.
The Joint Director expressed immense pride in Rinchen’s achievement, describing it as a landmark moment for Ladakh and an inspiration for budding athletes across the region.
He emphasized the department’s unwavering commitment to promoting sports and nurturing local talent, ensuring more athletes from Ladakh shine on the global stage.
Rinchen, accompanied by her mother, Secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association Anayat Ali Shotopa, SAI Kargil Incharge Ghulam Mustafa, her coach Mohd Ali, and other dignitaries, received heartfelt congratulations and encouragement from the Joint Director.
Tahir Zubdavi commended the Ladakh Taekwondo Association for their relentless efforts in promoting the sport across the region and grooming talented players such as Rinchen, Shahnaz Parveen, Tashi Tubdup, Zeeshan Mehdi, and Sonam Chosphal. He attributed these successes to the association’s decade-long dedication and service to the sports.
In her remarks, Rinchen expressed gratitude to Tahir Hussain Zubdavi for his consistent support and encouragement for sports and athletes in Ladakh. She also reaffirmed her commitment to achieving greater milestones in her sporting journey.
