    Justice Rabstan lays the Foundation stone for the Multipurpose Hall District Court Complex at Leh.
    Leh, July 23, 2024: Hon’ble Justice Tashi Rabstan, Chief Justice (Acting) High Court of J&K and Ladakh laid the foundation stone for the Multipurpose Hall District Court Complex, at Melongthang, Leh through virtual mode from Jammu wing of High Court.
    The Multipurpose Hall is going to come up at Melongthang, Leh at an estimated cost of Rs. 19.78 crores, which will comprise a Ground Floor Auditorium Hall with a capacity of 260 persons, a Separate Lounge and Dining Hall, a Physiotherapy Room and Media Room. The project is being executed by PWD Leh.
    Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh and Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal for approving the Project and urged the executing agency to complete the project in a time-bound manner. He stated that the hall will be beneficial not only for the activities of the court, but also for activities of other departments of the UT Administration. Chief Engineer Abdul Mutallib spoke in detail about the kinds of provisions included in the design of the hall, such as conference hall, media room, physiotherapy room, gym, etc. Principal District and Session Judge Leh Spalzes Angmo presented the vote of thanks.
    Those who were present on the occasion virtually from Jammu wing of the High Court include Shahzad Azeem Registrar General, High Court, M K Sharma Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble the Chief Justice, Sandeep Kour, Registrar Judicial Jammu, Amit Gupta, Member Secretary J&K Legal Service Authority, Anoop Kumar Sharma, Registrar Computers (IT), High Court, Prem Sagar, Secretary High Court Legal Services Committee, Rajni Sharma Joint Registrar (Judicial) Jammu and Deldan Angmo Munsiff attached to the office of Registrar Computers (IT). Whereas, at Leh, the event was graced by the presence of Splazes Angmo, Principal District and Sessions Judge Leh, Mr. Shashi Kant Bhagat, Administrative Secretary Law and Justice UT of Ladakh, Judicial officers from the District Headquarter Leh, Mr Shafi Lassu, President Bar Association Leh along with other Members, Mr. Mutallib, Chief Engineer UT Ladakh, Mr Gyatso, SE Leh, Executive Engineers of PWD Construction Division and Mechanical Division Leh etc.
