    Zanskar, April 01, 2026: As per the directions of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, the third Khidmat-e-Awaam outreach camp under the flagship campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” was successfully organized at Zangla Panchayat Halqa in Zanskar Subdivision.
    The camp commenced with an introductory address by Nodal Officer Shri Mohd. Ali Yabgo, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the objective of the programme. He briefed the public about the presence of various departmental teams and emphasized the administration’s commitment to delivering governance at the grassroots level and bridging administrative gaps in remote areas of Zanskar.
    During the outreach programme, multiple departments actively participated and delivered services, awareness, and on-the-spot grievance redressal.
    The Agriculture Department, led by the Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), generated awareness on key schemes including PM-Kisan, Ladakh Greenhouse Scheme, and promotion of vermicompost units. Applications were collected for further processing, and HYV and hybrid vegetable seeds were distributed among beneficiaries.
    The Tourism Department, represented by the Assistant Tourist Officer, disseminated information on the Ladakh Homestay Policy, including procedures for registration of homestays, guest houses, and hotels. Local youth were also encouraged to explore and develop new trekking routes in the Panchayat.
    The Health Department, led by BMO CHC Padum along with paramedical staff, provided awareness on maternal and child health programmes, Janani Suraksha Yojana, immunization, tuberculosis control, and hypertension screening. Free medicines were distributed, and ABHA and Golden Cards were generated on the spot.
    The Education Department, under the supervision of the Zonal Education Officer, conducted Aadhaar-related services including biometric updates, corrections in address, date of birth, mobile number, and new enrolments.
    The Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department carried out e-KYC registrations and facilitated both new and existing ration card registrations.
    The Animal Husbandry Department, led by Dr. Fatima Khatoon, created awareness about ongoing schemes and addressed public demands including provision of community shepherds, cattle shelter sheds, and sheep units. On-the-spot treatment was provided to 10 livestock.
    The Handicrafts & Handloom Department sensitized locals about various schemes and addressed issues related to training in weaving, carpet making, sewing, and spinning, particularly for women. The department assured that the demands would be taken up with higher authorities.
    Officials from financial institutions including J&K Bank and SBI provided awareness on schemes such as Atal Pension Yojana (APY), PMJJBY, PMSBY, and PMEGP to promote entrepreneurship in agriculture, dairy, and tourism sectors.
    The ICDS Department conducted awareness sessions on PMMVY, nutritional requirements, and local food practices. Growth monitoring of children was carried out through height and weight measurements.
    The Hydraulic Department, headed by the Executive Engineer, addressed issues under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and conducted 16 on-the-spot water quality tests.
    The Revenue Department issued various certificates including 01 ST certificate, 03 Ladakh Resident Certificates, 04 inheritance mutations, 04 Jamabandi extracts, and 02 DOB certificates.
    The RDD & Panchayati Raj Department, led by the BDO Zanskar, facilitated logistics through the Community Facilitation Centre (CFC), ensured power supply for Aadhaar services, and disseminated information regarding schemes like VB-GRAMG, LRLM, and SBM-G.
    Besides, officials from R&B/ZDA, PDD, Social Welfare, and other allied departments were also present during the camp.
    The outreach programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the villagers, who appreciated the administration’s efforts in bringing essential services to their doorstep. A large number of beneficiaries availed services and expressed satisfaction with the initiative, highlighting its positive impact on improving accessibility and governance in the region.
