    Ladakh to Participate in IndiaSkills Regional Competition (North) 2025–26.
    Agra, March 12, 2026: The Union Territory of Ladakh is participating in the IndiaSkills Regional Competition (North) 2025–26, being held in Agra from March 11 to 14, 2026.
    A team of 06 state qualifiers from Ladakh is representing the Union Territory in 03 skill trades—Graphic Designing, Fashion Technology and Beauty Therapy. The competition brings together participants from 09 states and union territories across Northern India, competing in 63 skill trades.
    The competitors representing Ladakh include: Archo Masooma and Fatima Nissa in Graphic Designing; Zarina Bano and Hassina Bano in Fashion Technology; Masooma and Naziya Kousar in Beauty Therapy.
    The IndiaSkills Regional Competition serves as a qualifying platform for the IndiaSkills National Competition, where winners from the regional level will advance to the national stage. Successful competitors at the national level will subsequently represent India at the WorldSkills Competition 2026, scheduled to be held in Shanghai, China.
    During the inaugural ceremony, Ladakh received a special honour as a representative from the Union Territory led the oath on behalf of all competitors from the Northern Region.
    The participation of Ladakh’s youth in this competition is the outcome of the skill development initiatives undertaken by the Ladakh Skill Development Mission in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education, Ladakh, aimed at promoting vocational excellence and creating national and international opportunities for the youth of Ladakh.
    The UT Administration, under the guidance of the Chief Secretary, UT Ladakh, remains committed to providing relevant skill development opportunities to the students of the region, enabling them to build sustainable careers and establish enterprises that will contribute to strengthening the economic landscape of the Union Territory.
