Zanskar, May 11, 2026: Photang Gompa Karsha witnessed a significant turnout of devotees during the holy relic display held on 11 May 2026. The darshan commenced at 9:30 a.m. and was scheduled to conclude at 6:00 p.m., later being extended by half an hour to accommodate the large number of visitors.
As per official records, 6,105 devotees visited during regular hours, including 3,035 males, 2,342 females, and 656 senior citizens. The gathering also included 68 non-local devotees and 4 foreign visitors. Additionally, 560 childerns also participated in the event, taking the total to 6,665.
Later, durring the evening the visiting hours extended to half and hours to accommodate the remaining devotees, an additional 243 devotees paid their respects, bringing the grand total to 6,908 devotees who visited the holy relic.
The smooth conduct of the event and the extended darshan ensured seamless arrangements for devotees and reflected the deep faith and enthusiasm of the people.
