Lead Bank along with SBI Organises ‘Month of Compassion’ Event at PAGIR, Leh
Focus on Financial Inclusion and Social Security for Differently-Abled.

As part of the ongoing Month of Compassion initiative, a special outreach programme was successfully organised at PAGIR by Lead District Manager (LDM), Leh Stanzin Dolkar, in collaboration with State Bank of India, Choglamsar branch. The event aimed to promote financial inclusion and social protection for the differently-abled community supported by PAGIR.
The programme was honoured by the presence of Assistant General Manager, UTLBC, Tsering Angmo, who lauded the initiative and highlighted the importance of reaching under served communities through sustained banking efforts.
In a notable act of solidarity and support, the bank staff sponsored one year of premium under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) for all participants. These central government-backed schemes provide essential life and accident insurance coverage, helping secure the financial future of the beneficiaries.
The event also included awareness sessions on financial literacy and significance of enrolling in social security schemes. The initiative reflected banking sector’s continued commitment to compassionate and inclusive service delivery.
The programme was warmly received by participants and stakeholders, standing as a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in creating an equitable financial ecosystem.
