On the 31st of December, marking the beginning of the New Year, a cleanliness drive was successfully conducted at the Sangam–Nimo rafting point by the Department of Tourism, Leh, in collaboration with the Rural Development Department and the All Ladakh Rafting Association.
The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental conservation, and responsible tourism at one of Ladakh’s most popular rafting and tourist destinations. Officials, staff members, local stakeholders, and members of the rafting association actively participated, collecting waste from the riverbank and surrounding areas to help preserve the natural beauty of the region.
