Meeting Convened for Upcoming Nomadic Festival at Hanley.
Hon’ble Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Sh. Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, convened a preparatory meeting today at the SDM Conference Hall, Nyoma, regarding the upcoming Nomadic Festival scheduled to be held at Hanley on the 9th and 10th of August 2025.
The meeting was attended by the following dignitaries and officers:
Hon’ble Councillor, Nyoma ; Hon’ble Councillor, Korzok ;Hon’ble Councillor, Chushul ; Hon’ble Councillor, Kyungam ; Hon’ble Councillor, Sangha ; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nyoma ; Deputy Secretary, Cultural Academy Leh ; Executive Engineer, PWD ; Executive Engineer, PDD ; Executive Engineer, PHE ; Block Medical Officer ; (BMO), Nyoma ; Station House Officer (SHO), Nyoma ; Block Development Officer (BDO), Nyoma
During the meeting, key arrangements and logistical aspects of the festival were thoroughly discussed, including:
.Display of traditional Rebo tents and nomadic household items
• Installation of temporary toilet facilities for the public
• Provision of drinking water facilities by the PHE Department
• Installation of adequate lighting by the Power Development Department (PDD)
• Establishment of a medical camp by the PHC Nyoma for the duration of the festival
• Garbage collection and sanitation under Project Tsangda, with the Rural Development Department deputing garbage vehicles for two days
The Executive Councillor The emphasized timely completion of all tasks and urged all departments to work in close coordination.
