As part of the ongoing “Mimang-Si-sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, a public outreach camp was organised at Basgo Village under the leadership of Tsewang Gyalson, Chief Planning Officer, Leh, who served as the Nodal Officer for the programme. The camp saw active participation from various departments, who briefed the public on government schemes, services, and ongoing developmental works. On-spot services included the issuance of 20 Ladakh Resident Certificates, 4 inheritance mutations, 23 revenue extracts, 30 Aadhaar cards, and ration card services involving 1 KYC, 19 additions, and 3 deletions. The Health Department conducted NCD screening for around 60 individuals, issued 4 Golden Cards, and successfully diagnosed two patients with diabetes and hypertension.
Departments also briefed the public on their key schemes: the Handicrafts Department discussed weaving training and marketing support under Brand Ladakh; PDD promoted the Solar Rooftop Scheme; the Agriculture Department shared details on subsidies for irrigation and greenhouses; the Horticulture Department informed about Orchard Development support and the Solar Crop Dryer subsidy; and the Animal Husbandry Department provided information on cattle improvement schemes, feed subsidies, dairy support, and livestock disease awareness, including brucellosis, along with scientific breeding options. During the interaction session, residents raised several concerns, which were duly noted by the Nodal Officer for follow-up. He thanked the public for their active participation and assured that all major issues raised during the camp would be addressed through the concerned departments.
