    Leh, November 20, 2025: Under the ongoing ‘Mimang-Si-sJhabstogs’ (Administration at Your Doorstep) initiative, the District Administration today conducted a comprehensive public outreach camp at Chemday village of Kharu Sub-Division, which witnessed active participation from residents of both Kharu and Chemday. The programme was graced by Secretary, School Education, Ms. Bhanu Prabha, and Director, School Education, Ms. Tashi Dolma, who interacted with the public and reviewed the services being provided by various departments. Addressing the gathering, the Secretary urged the community to strengthen government schools, enhance student enrollment, and make full use of the welfare schemes and services made available through the campaign.
    A team of senior officers, including Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kharu, Mr. Sonam Dorjay; Deputy Chief Education Officer, Mrs. Khalida Parveen; Block Development Officer/Agriculture Extension Officer, Ms. Kunzang Dolma; Child Development Project Officer (ICDS), Ms. Sonam Nilza; and Block Officer, Sheep Husbandry, Mr. Tsewang Dorjay, along with officials from nearly twenty departments, participated in the camp to provide on-spot assistance to the public. Throughout the day, the public availed a wide range of services such as ration card enrollment, health screening, ABHA ID creation, and distribution of PMJAY-related information by the Health Department. Awareness on pension schemes, digital banking, and cyber fraud was provided by J&K Bank, while the ICDS Department facilitated PMMVY benefits and APAAR ID generation. The Agriculture Department assisted residents with pension enrollment, KCC and PM-KISAN registration, and the Rural Development Department enabled job card issuance and e-KYC updates. Sheep and Animal Husbandry distributed medicines and conducted anti-parasitic spraying, and ongoing works of PWD, Rural Development, Irrigation & Flood Control, and PHE were assessed with issues resolved on the spot.
    Additionally, important certificates including Resident, Domicile, and ST certificates were issued, and Golden Cards as well as Aadhaar enrollment and correction services were made available through the Education and Rural Development Departments. The outreach camp witnessed enthusiastic public participation, reflecting strong community engagement and reaffirming the administration’s commitment to bringing essential government services directly to citizens’ doorsteps under the ‘Mimang-Si-sJhabstogs’ initiative
