Kargil, May 21: Shri Tushar Anand, IAS, Mission Director, NHM Ladakh, visited PHC Panikhar, CHC Sankoo, and PHC Karsha to review healthcare facilities and assess the functioning of health institutions in Kargil district.
Accompanied by the CMO Kargil, BMO Zanskar, BMO Sankoo, and BMO Taisuru, the Mission Director interacted with doctors, paramedical staff, and healthcare workers and reviewed various issues related to healthcare services and functioning of the institutions.
Shri Tushar Anand assured the staff that necessary steps would be taken to strengthen healthcare services and improve patient care facilities in the region under NHM.
The Mission Director also interacted with patients to gather feedback regarding healthcare services and emphasized the importance of quality, patient-centric, and accessible healthcare delivery.
During the inspections, he reviewed the cleanliness and maintenance of the health institutions and inspected diagnostic facilities, pharmacy services, and other sections of the hospitals. Directions were issued for strengthening diagnostic and drug services through NHM support to ensure improved healthcare delivery for the public.
