MP Ladakh Undertakes Self-Enumeration for Census 2027 in Kargil.
Kargil, August 18, 2026: Hon’ble Member of Parliament Ladakh, Mohmad Haneefa, today undertake his Self-Enumeration (SE) process for the second phase of Census-2027 (Population Enumeration) at his residence in Bemathang, Baroo, Kargil.
With this move, he became the third person in Kargil district to undertake self-enumeration, marking the commencement of the Self-Enumeration process in the district.
The Self-Enumeration window will remain open from August 17 to August 31, 2026, through the designated Census portal at https://se-snowbound.census.gov.in. Citizens can use the portal to provide the required information about their households during the self-enumeration period.
The Population Enumeration phase will subsequently be conducted from September 1 to September 30, 2026, during which appointed enumerators will visit households door-to-door. The enumerators will collect the required information by asking 40 questions from household members through the designated mobile application.
The self enumeration program was attended by Shri Amit Kumar Bhargav Deputy Chief Principal Census Officer J&K and Ladakh UT; Vijay Kumar AD Census; beside Kacho Mohammed Hussain Chief Planning Officer Kargil with Khadim Hussain SO to Additional District Census Officer/ DSE Kargil; Sadiq Hussain District Coordinator Census Kargil; Mohammed Iqbal Master Trainer Census Kargil and staff.
Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Kargil, along with staff, and Census Charge Officer, Tehsildar Kargil, Ayaz Bhat, also participated in the programme.
