    Ms. Bhanu Phabha, Secretary, School Education, today visited High School Likir where winter coaching classes are being conducted by the Village Education Committee (VEC).
    During the visit, she reviewed the arrangements and advised the school authorities and VEC members to ensure proper heating and adequate lighting facilities for the students. The winter
    coaching classes are being held for all the classes including the classes X and XII to make up for the lost instructional days due to long winter break. During these winter coaching the
    teachers take extra classes for all the students with special emphasis on the weaker students to strengthen their conceptual understanding.
    The VEC of the HS Liker along with the local community is conducting outreach programs to encouraging parents to send their wards to the winter coaching classes. This initiative
    would not only improve the learning outcomes but also allows students to utilize their
    vacations effectively.
    Later, Ms. Phabha visited the residential coaching classes being held at Government Middle School, Skara, for Class 10 students of High School Likir, High School Basgo, High School
    Nimoo and High School Phyang. She interacted with teachers and students, encouraging them to prepare diligently for the upcoming board examinations. She also directed the
    headmasters of the concerned schools to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made for the smooth conduct of the residential classes. These residential winter classes, especially
    designed for the students of class X and XII is essential to ensure improvement in the performance of our Board class students. The SED appreciates the effort of the Masters,
    Lecturers, Headmasters and Principals who have been instrumental in a holding these residential winter coaching classes for three years now.
    The SED is committed not just to improve the learning outcomes of the students in general but also to ensure that all the students are provided the best opportunity to learn and rise.
