Administrative Secretary, School Education Department, UT Ladakh, Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, conducted an extensive visit to various Government schools in Drass Sub-Division to review the academic environment, infrastructure, and ongoing developmental initiatives.
During her visit, she inspected Government High School Kharboo, PM SHRI Government High School Thasgam, Government Model Middle School Dongchik, and Government High School Kaksar. At every village, the Administrative Secretary received a warm welcome from parents, local residents, and the school community, reflecting their appreciation for the Department’s continued engagement with remote educational institutions.
Demonstrating her commitment to strengthening education in the remotest areas, Ms. Bhanu Prabha undertook nearly an hour-long trek to reach the schools at Kharboo and Dongchik, reaffirming the Administration’s dedication to ensuring quality education reaches every child, irrespective of geographical challenges.
The Administrative Secretary interacted with students, teachers, parents, School Management Committees, and members of the local community. She patiently listened to their concerns, suggestions, and grievances related to education, infrastructure, and school development. She assured them that all genuine issues would be examined and addressed on priority.
The local residents, parents, and school authorities expressed their appreciation for the commitment and sincere efforts of the School Education Department and the UT Administration of Ladakh in strengthening educational infrastructure and ensuring quality education, particularly in remote and border areas.
The visit reflects the School Education Department’s unwavering commitment to improving educational standards, enhancing learning outcomes, and ensuring inclusive, accessible, and quality education for every child across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
