Naib Tehsildar Nyoma Conducts Enforcement Drive Against Banned Single-Use Plastics; Fine Collected from Violators.
Nyoma, July 01, 2026: In continuation of the ongoing campaign to enforce the ban on single-use plastics and promote environmental sustainability, Naib Tehsildar Nyoma, Sh. Feroz Ahmad Khan, today conducted a special enforcement drive across the Nyoma market area to ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations.
During the inspection, checked commercial establishments for adherence to the ban on single-use plastic items and also inspected waste disposal practices, with particular emphasis on preventing littering and ensuring proper waste management.
During the drive, the offenders were penalized in accordance with the applicable provisions, and fines were recovered on the Sh. Feroz Ahmad Khan appealed to shopkeepers, residents, and visitors to refrain from using banned single-use plastic items and instead adopt eco-friendly alternatives. He also urged the public to avoid littering and to maintain cleanliness in and around the market and public places.
He further informed that such inspection and enforcement drives will continue on a regular basis, and strict action will be taken against anyone found violating the ban on single-use plastics or engaging in littering.
