Leh, August 26: National Tobacco Control Program under National Health Mission, UT Ladakh organised a mass awareness session at Stok Village as part of the Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign. Dr Motup Dorje, Mission Director, National Health Mission, UT Ladakh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Village Sarpanch, Norbu Jayo welcomed the guests and experts.
The session concluded with a pledge taking and Stok Village was declared ‘No Tobacco Village’.
It was informed that cigarettes and other Tobacco products will no longer be available in the village.
