    National Training Programme for BLOs Concludes at Zanskar.

    Zanksar, July 16, 2025 — The District Election Officer (DEO)-level training under the National Training Programme 2025 for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) concluded today with the final session held at Zanskar. The training, focused on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and Special Summary Revision (SSR), was organised for BLOs of Zanskar Sub-Division.
    During the session, BLO supervisors and officers received detailed instruction on various modules related to the SIR and SSR processes, aimed at ensuring the smooth revision of electoral rolls.
    Addressing the gathering, Incharge Sub-Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, Mohd Hassan, and the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) underlined the importance of the upcoming Intensive Revision scheduled for next month. They stressed that the Election Commission of India is closely monitoring the process and emphasized the need for BLOs to thoroughly understand and diligently implement the training modules during the SIR.
    Mohammed Amin, State Level Master Trainer (Ladakh), conducted an in-depth training session covering statutory provisions, duties of BLOs, enumeration of forms, publication of draft rolls, claim and objection periods, and penal provisions. He also briefed participants on constitutional guidelines, general responsibilities during the election period, the role of BLOs in Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities, Booth Awareness Groups, and duties on polling day.
    Additionally, resource person Zakir Husain Karbalai led a detailed session on the use of the BLO App for efficient electoral work. Meanwhile, Master Trainer Sajjad Hussain guided participants on the Voter Helpline App (VHP).
    At the conclusion of the programme, participants were awarded Certificates of Participation.
