National Training Programme for BLOs of Shargole & Shakar-Chiktan held in Kargil.

Kargil, July 14, 2025: District Election Officer (DEO)-level training programme under the National Training Programme 2025 for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) continued for the fourth consecutive day today at the Conference Hall, Baroo Kargil. The training, focused on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and Special Summary Revision (SSR), was organised for BLOs of Shargole and Shakar-Chiktan tehsils.
During the session, BLO supervisors and officers received detailed instruction on various modules related to the SIR and SSR processes, aimed at ensuring smooth electoral roll revision.
Addressing the gathering, Tehsildar Shargole and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), Sheikh Ansar Hussain underlined the importance of the upcoming Intensive Revision scheduled for next month. “The Election Commission of India is closely monitoring this process. It is imperative that all BLOs understand the training modules thoroughly and implement them diligently during the SIR,” he emphasised.
Mohammed Amin, State Level Master Trainer (Ladakh), delivered an in-depth training session covering statutory provisions, duties of BLOs, enumeration of forms, publication of draft rolls, claim and objection periods, as well as penal provisions. He also briefed participants on constitutional guidelines, general duties during election periods, the role of BLOs in Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities, Booth Awareness Groups, and responsibilities on polling day.
Additionally, resource person Zakir Husain Karbalai presented a detailed session on the use of mobile applications called BLO App for efficient electoral work. Meanwhile Sajjad Hussain Master Trainer guided the session with Voter Helpline App (VHP).
At the conclusion, participants were given Certificates of Participation. The last training program shall be held at Padum Zanskar on July 16, 2025.
