NHPC Presents Token of Appreciation to CEC Kargil for His Support and Guidance.
Kargil, June 18, 2026: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, was called on by Deputy Manager (IT), NHPC Kargil, Shri Dev Raj, who presented a token of appreciation and memento on behalf of NHPC Chutuk Kargil in recognition of the support and cooperation extended by LAHDC Kargil towards various developmental and awareness initiatives in the district.
During the interaction, Dr. Akhoon expressed his gratitude to NHPC for the gesture and appreciated the successful organization of the Dam Safety Awareness Programme conducted by NHPC Chutuk Kargil in collaboration with the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA). He remarked that such initiatives are important for creating awareness regarding dam safety, disaster preparedness, and sustainable water resource management.
The CEC extended his sincere thanks to NHPC and all associated stakeholders for organizing the event and bringing together experts and officials to deliberate on crucial aspects of dam safety and risk management.
