One day training camp”Kisan Ghosti “ at Sub Division Khaltsi under Agriculture Technology Mission Agency (ATMA).
Domkhar, March 9 2026:A training camp Kisan Ghosti focusing on different aspects of Agriculture and use of different technologies of Agriculture for the welfare of farmer was held today on March 09,2026 at Domkhar village, Khaltsi. The event, organized by the Agriculture Department has witnessed the participation of around 102 farmers from village.
The training was led by Deputy Director Agriculture UT Ladakh Mrs.Tashi Dolma, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Leh Mohd Ramzan and Junior Agriculture Extension Officer Ms. Stanzin Idong. In additon to that REWA Farmer Producer Organization (FPO ) President Mr. Tashi Thokmed and his team shared the importanceof REWA recently formed in Dhomkhar village comprising 107 members. They shared, how this FPO in the near future can change the income and welfare of Domkhar village. Topics included Importance of natural farming and organic farming, preparation of vermicompost, mushroom and importance of mustard. A practical demonstration on preparation of Beejamrit, Jeevamrit and Agniastra was led by Shri Md.Ramzan. Farmers were informed about different departmental schemes to support their agricultural efforts. Agriculture dept promised to provide them with seeds of Mustard and Rajma under NFSM as a demonstration. The highlight of the training is that farmers were distributed with organic certificates so that they can sell their produce in near future without any fail.
Overall the training was successful and insightful with such a large participation from farmers and their welcoming response. Definitely this creates a much needed awareness among farmers specially just before the start of season.
