Orientation Programme on PMEGP Organised at GDC Drass.
Drass, September 21, 2026: Government Degree College (GDC) Drass organised an Orientation Programme on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) to create awareness among students about self-employment, entrepreneurship and employment-generation opportunities.
The programme was conducted by Balwinder Singh, Director, and Navinder Singh, Deputy Director, ETRDJ, J&K, in coordination with KVIC. The resource persons briefed the students about the objectives, benefits and implementation of PMEGP and encouraged them to explore entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities through various government-supported initiatives.
During the programme, the resource persons expressed their gratitude to the Principal of GDC Drass for providing a platform to conduct such an important and meaningful awareness programme for the students. They appreciated the college administration for its support and cooperation in promoting awareness about government schemes aimed at employment generation and entrepreneurship development.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Galysten, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, GDC Drass, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, college administration and participating students for their valuable contributions to the successful conduct of the event.
