Kargil, August 6, 2026: A District-Level Panch Sammelan to sensitise elected representatives and Panchayati Raj Institution functionaries on the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 was successfully organised today at Yourbaltak, Sodh, Kargil.
The programme was graced by Councillor Shri Manzoor as the Chief Guest. Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kargil, Shri Shafiq Ahmad addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Act and its role in strengthening rural livelihoods and employment opportunities.
Block Development Officer (BDO), Sodh, Shri Shaukat Ahmad played a pivotal role in organising and coordinating the Sammelan. Along with State Nodal Officer Shri Mudasir Rahowf Wani, he welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of active involvement of Panchayati Raj Institutions and grassroots functionaries for the successful implementation of the Mission across the district.
Shri Mudasir Rahowf Wani explained the Mission’s vision and objectives, convergence of rural development programmes, transparency and accountability in implementation, and the registration of eligible households for the issuance of the Gramin Rozgar Card.
The programme concluded with an interactive session, where participants shared their views and sought clarifications on the effective implementation of the Mission. The Sammelan reaffirmed the collective commitment towards building a stronger and self-reliant rural Kargil in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat
