    Plantation Drive Conducted at Government Degree College, Drass in Collaboration with GNRF

    Drass, 06 April 2025 – A plantation drive was held at Government Degree College, Drass, in collaboration with the NGO, Garib Nawaz Relief Foundation (GNRF), as part of a joint initiative to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
    The event was organized under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Amjid Ali Abbasi, Principal of the college, who emphasized the critical role of plantation in combating climate change and preserving ecological balance. He highlighted how such drives contribute to a greener future and instill a sense of responsibility among the youth towards nature.
    Mr. Abdul Wahab, the State Manager for Jammu and Kashmir of GNRF, was also present on the occasion. He elaborated on the objectives and ongoing efforts of the NGO, particularly in the areas of environmental conservation and community welfare.
    The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and members of the NGO, reflecting a strong community commitment to environmental causes.
    The college administration and GNRF expressed their intent to continue such collaborative efforts in the future, ensuring long-term impact and greater public engagement in environmental stewardship.
