In pursuance of Election Notification No 05 of 2026 dated 11-05-2026 by the competent authority Additional Registrar Cooperative UT Ladakh, the Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) of
the Cooperative Marketing Society Ltd., Diskit was held on 16-05-2026 at Nubra T – Morh ,under the president ship of Shri Dorjai Dadul, President.
The meeting was attended by Shri Sharma Tashi, Assistant Registrar, Cooperative, Nubra.
who presided over the proceedings on behalf of the Cooperative Department.
During the meeting, Sh Skarma Tashi Assistant Registrar briefed the members about the general election process, the importance and benefits of Cooperative Marketing Societies, and also read out the financial position of the Society’s accounts along with the current status of its affairs.
Accordingly. Shri Dorjai Dadul briefed the general body about the infrastructure and overall progress of the society . highlighting the achievement and development made during the last three years.
Further, Shri Cheewang Dorje Accountant, presented the account details of the society before the members. Issue relating to the supply of vegetables were also discussed at length, and the matter for necessary improvement and future course of action.
After detailed deliberations, the General Body unanimously and uncontest elected the following
new members to the Board of Directors for a tenure of three (03) years:
1. Shri Sonam Tundup Tigar – President
2. Shri Golam Hussain Partapur – Vice President
3. Shri Sonam Dorje Tgar Secretary
4. Shri Chewang Dorjey_Accountant
5. Shri Rabgais Skampuk Field Manager.
The Meeting concluded peacefully with the consent of members and a vote of thanks proposed
by Shri Sonam Tundup
